Here is a conversation that Doug and I had this week:
Tamara: Doug, So You Think You Can Dance is on tour and I really want to go.
Doug: How much are tickets?
Tamara: Um...like $100 but totally worth it.
Doug: No way man.
(next day)
Doug: Tamara, AC/DC is coming in concert, I am getting us tickets.
Tamara: How much are the tickets?
Doug: $100 but totally worth it!!!

husbands sure can be funny sometimes!
Doug definintely has his priorities straight. SYTYCD? No way is that worth $100. You can watch it on TV! ACDC concert is not on TV.
Sounds like a compromise to me! Way to go...2 events to look forward too.
Yeah I would rather go to STYCD too. Who won or are you going to both?
Doug, if you go to SYTYCD I will make fun of you forever. FOREVER - and your awesomeness will definitely be in quesiton. Besides, this dilemma sounds like a no-brainer to me.
AC/DC is a legend rather than a fad, but I still think $100 is too much for either! Are those seriously the cheapest tickets?
Now if it were U2, that's a different story :)
this reminds me of a story of a couple that wanted to spend their tax return. the husband wanted to take a trip. the wife wanted to redecorate the living room.
so they decided to divide an conquer.
the wife bought a new couch. the husband went away for a getaway. upon his return they both talked about their experiences with joy.
so maybe that's a good way to do it.
i mean, in this case, it worked for President and Marjorie Hinckley! :)
SYTYCD. Yessssss.
